Cause:
Wear in the bore and valve can lead to hydraulic leakage. This can result in low pressure, delayed engagement as well as belt slipping and damage.

Correction:
Restore proper hydraulic control by reaming the bore and replacing worn parts with Sonnax oversized main pressure regulator valve kit to restore proper clearances.


Wear in the main pressure regulator bore is common in Jatco/Nissan JF016E (RE0F10D) and JF017E (RE0F10E) units. This wear minimizes line pressure control resulting in delayed engagement and pulley damage.
